What'r Field Notes?

Inspired by the vanishing subgenre of agricultural memo books, ornate pocket ledgers and the simple, unassuming beauty of a well-crafted grocery list, the Draplin Design Company of Portland, Oregon (US) in conjunction with Coudal Partners of Chicago, Illinois (US) started “FIELD NOTES” in hopes of offering, “An honest memo book, worth fillin’ up with good information".

Why Field Notes?

We started Ryokō because we wanted to make high quality leather ‘travel accessories’. Ryokō is also about travelling and leisure photography. We often write about the places we visit along with taking pictures. That’s why we felt that the Field Notes memo book would be the perfect travel companion for our leather goods.

We love how the Field Notes memo books come in different covers and paper types and each of them have an interesting story and characteristics about them. The pocket book size is also very handy to put in our camera/travel bags or jacket pockets. They also fit perfectly in our SMITH Passport Wallet & Field Notes Cover.

They are available on our Web Shop as well as at our Pop Up Store at Ripe Market, Zabeel Park every Friday morning (9am-3pm).
